The Empress’ New Clothes

February 24, 2017

New-York based photographer Udor came up with an unusual idea for an editorial shoot when visiting his former mother-in-law who was suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s.  After the visit, Udor walked his ex-wife to the train and stopped by a boutique selling handbags.  While in the store, his wife purchased a special bag.  It lead the photographer to connect his former mother-in-law’s condition with the bag, creating an unforgetable editorial The Empress’ New Clothes.  The piece is an urban noir fairytale exploring what it would be like if we just forgot to wear our clothes but not your accessories.
