W ith rapid protoype and 3d printing becoming increasingly more affordable, every designer is moving toward their own branded product lines. But, it is not only designers jumping on the home decor band wagon, established name brand companies see the market as a potentially lucrative add-on revenue source and licensing opportunity.
A company at the forefront of this movement is the Las Vegas entertainment and gaming resort Mandalay Bay. The iconic sin city group MGM Resorts recently licensed the new Mandalay Bay at Home furniture line to one of Spain’s leading design and logistic firms, C95.
Madrid-based C95 is a global brand that offers architecture, design and procurement services for more than forty years. One of the keys to the firms success is the world-wide use of proprietary technology systems for design and project management.
The new Mandalay Bay at Home line will be distributed in American and Canada. The line aims to offer “luxury without the ornament” opting to focus on the craftsmanship and quality of the materials. The style is informed by the hotel’s own look borrowed from several eras and filtered through its reserve, strip down aesthetic. The initial line focuses on dining room, living room and bedroom including consoles, headboards, tables, and chairs.
Mandalay Bay at Home will join the likes of Trump Home by Dorya which launched in October of 2014.
