Episode 017: Eddie Lee

Eddie Lee opened Eddie Lee Inc. in 2005 after working for 10 years with famed designer Greg Jordan.

The firm’s projects range from modern to traditional, and are often a fusion of both. Lee works throughout the U.S., with numerous projects in New York City and the Hamptons. The projects range from large scale collaborations with architects on construction projects to the decoration of existing spaces.

“I see what we do as painting a portrait of the client’s life through the media of architecture, furniture and art. We listen to their aspirations and through our experience and design, make them a reality. There is no ‘stock’ plan; I view each project as an evolution.

”Lee maintains that any successful interior must start from a solid furniture plan. He then designs custom pieces, sources antiques, vintage pieces, great artwork and accessories to layer in. “Even the most complete plan must leave room for spontaneity. The best rooms have unexpected elements of glamour, surprise or whimsy.” This freedom in Lee’s work comes from the down to earth and lively atmosphere he cultivates in his firm. Lee’s designs are unique to each client and are as rewarding to work on as they are to live in.
