O n visiting Daniella Ohad’s artfully arranged, gallery-like apartment, her deep appreciation for quality design is immediately apparent. The white box interior, filled with some of the greatest hits of modern 20th and 21st-century design, express the historian, educator and writer’s life-long passion. It is this passion that she imparts through her course “Collecting Design: History, Collections & Highlights” offered through the New York School of Interior Design, New York City.
“History is the key to understanding and collecting design. You need to educate yourself, it is not just about how something looks, but why it looks that way and in what context,” says Ohad.

Even taking on the representation and promotion of artists like Ayala Serfaty whose cloud-like lighting made in glass and fiberglass have been the sensation of recent design shows and decorator show houses.
