C hristopher Peacock appoints the kitchen at this year’s Kips Bay Decorator Show House with dark cabinetry and natural island/counter.

One of the hotest trends from the Architectural Digest Show, the natural free-edge slab island with water “stream” is placed within the dark and natural kitchen. Peacock uses floor to ceiling glass front cabinets, flush appliances to create a dark background the main island sits against.
