Atlanta Puts On A Show: Atlanta Homes & Lifestyle Southeastern Showhouse & Garden
Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles magazine debuted its first annual Southeastern Designer Showhouse & Gardens in a new speculative mansion in Buckhead’s Tuxedo Park neighborhood. Held from April 23 – May 15, 2016, the showhouse features 37 designers, representing 27 companies, working in 20,000-square-foot of space. The house designed by architect Dietrich T. Logan of Logan Design Group International and built by Bill Preston, president of Atlanta-based Paradise Builders Inc., is situated on a 3.5-acre lot that includes a 2,500-square-foot pool house, infinity edge pool and tennis court.
Atlanta-based interior designer Suzanne Kasler served as Honorary Chair for the 2016 Southeastern Showhouse and Gardens. Named to the AD100, Elle Decor‘s A-List and most recently awarded the Luxury Design Icon Award from ELEVATE, a luxury design community; Kasler is known for her casual elegance as well as for her signature collections for Lee Jofa, Hickory Chair, Visual Comfort and Ballard Designs. Kasler and her team at Suzanne Kasler Interiors also took on the designing of the dining room space within the showhouse. Employing Kasler’s signature sophisticated mix of antique and the modern, the bright white room is accented with soft blue and grey. The effect of the dining space is ethereal, open, Spring-like and welcoming. “Spring inspires me more than any other season,” says Kasler when asked about her inspiration for the room.
“There’s nothing more magnificent than Atlanta in bloom, and we are excited to debut this inaugural showcase of the best in Southeastern design as a beautiful harbinger of spring. The 2016 Southeastern Designer Showhouse & Gardens will be the ultimate interpretation of gracious living and quintessential Southern style, right in the heart of Buckhead,” says Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles publisher Gina Christman.
A portion of the proceeds from the Southeastern Designer Showhouse & Gardens ticket sales will benefit Safe Kids Georgia, the prevention outreach arm of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA).
